Andrew Tumilowicz
Founding Partner

Andrew Tumilowicz is a Founding Partner of Heritage Venue Advisors (HVA) and its affiliate, Venue Strategy. Mr. Tumilowicz began providing consultancy services in 2010 after exiting his position as Managing Director with a multi-strategy alternative asset management fund. Initially founded as Koll-Eos, LLC in partnership with The Koll Company, Mr. Tumilowicz's consultancy comprises clients ranging from large private equity funds with $10 billion AUM to lower middle market funds and single family offices. Collectively, Mr. Tumilowicz contributed toward $5.5 billion of real estate product including both performing and distressed positions across equity portfolios, debt portfolios, and securitization platforms.

During the period 2011-2015, Mr. Tumilowicz was a primary advisor to Lgreen Capital, LLC, a direct peer-to-peer platform formed around private investors, private equity fund managers, companies seeking capital and other market participants. In this capacity, Mr. Tumilowicz contributed to Lgreen Capital his relationships with 140+ private family investors and 200+ fund managers. These relationships provide unique market insight from investor principals across asset sectors.

Having directly operated both small and large scale real estate positions while partnering with middle market operating companies, Mr. Tumilowicz provides clients with invaluable operational insight paired to sophisticated financial acumen. After spending 12 years managing a real estate portfolio for a private developer in the New York Region, Mr. Tumilowicz joined XE Capital Management, a multi-strategy alternative investment fund with $1 billion in AUM. Approximately half of XE Capital's assets were invested across large scale real estate development projects globally. Initially engaged to build XE Capital's asset management team and valuation methodologies, Mr. Tumilowicz ultimately took over the firm's real estate portfolio as a Managing Director before exiting to found his own companies.

Mr. Tumilowicz holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics from Cornell University, and lives on the eastern end of Long Island with his family.

Aarin Yu

Founding Partner

Aarin Yu is a Founding Partner of Heritage Venue Advisors (HVA) and its affiliate, Heritage Financial Partners. Through HVA and its affiliate, Mr. Yu provides clients advisory services on transactions, valuation, and capital market assignments. Within real estate, Mr. Yu has supported clients in valuing their portfolio holdings across retail, office, and residential asset classes. He has also performed valuation assignments in the NPL and CMBS space. Mr. Yu's assignments have encompassed developments in construction, stabilized properties, turnaround projects, and workout scenarios. More broadly, Mr. Yu has worked closely with the management team and board members of middle market companies across software, business services, and industrial sectors. His most recent mandates include a venture debt raise for a VC-backed data analytics company and lining up acquisition financing for a foreign acquiror of a domestic home product manufacturer. Mr. Yu has relationships with debt and equity capital partners and covers the West Coast for HVA.

Previously, Mr. Yu was at Karlin Asset Management, a $1.5 billion investment fund based in Los Angeles. He was responsible for conducting bottoms-up research on small and mid-cap companies for the fund's public equities portfolio. Mr. Yu evaluated companies across multiple sectors for deep value opportunities, relying on industry research, relationships with management teams, and a network of contacts with extensive sector experience. Mr. Yu applied unique valuation approaches to many of the companies he researched, extending beyond the traditional measures of discounted cash flow analysis or comp benchmarking.

Before Karlin Asset Management, Mr. Yu worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of Oppenheimer Inc (CIBC World Markets) where he helped run several M&A processes for public and private companies.

Mr. Yu holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and International Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. He is registered with FINRA and has his Series 79, 65, and 63 licenses. He lives in Los Angeles.

HVA advises institutional investors on engagements surrounding independent valuation, M&A advisory, capital raises, due diligence, and financial analytics with focus on the real estate and middle market sectors. HVA selectively partners with operating companies in connection with institutionalizing operations and accelerating growth.
